Cheaper Priority Mail - allensylves - 12-10-2013 The Post Office has 9.5x12.5 inch padded Flat Rate plastic envelopes that mail for $5.95, but you cannot get them at the post office. You have to go to the USPS online store, set up a free account, and order them. They are great for bulky, non-fragile items. Our friends just sent us some candy bags in a Flat Rate box for $12.95 that could have gone for $5.95. They are free and the shipping is free. Allen Finally in HPP RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - nana valley - 12-10-2013 OH! this is a gem of information for me! Thank you He who hoots with owls at night cannot soar with the eagles in the morning. RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - terracore - 12-11-2013 Just FYI the last time I got some of the padded priority mailers they came really quick but in the past I've waited between 6-8 weeks to get them. Also the web site at times has limited orders to 5 per order. RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - Sue Nomie - 12-11-2013 Mahalo, I just order them. They are staying up to 12 days now. We'll see. I bet them come too late to mail out Christmas gifts. Darn! RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - Lee M-S - 12-11-2013 You can order more than that; on the page where you select the product (link below), there is a drop-down menu beneath each item. You can select individual (1-5) or packs of 10 or 15 envelopes. And I think you can order multiples of the packs, as well. https://store.usps.com/store/browse/subcategory.jsp?categoryId=subcatMSS_E_Free#%23q_docSort%3D%26q_pageNum%3D2%26viewAll%3Dfalse%26q_facetTrail%3D%26categoryId%3DsubcatMSS_E_Free%26nsraction%3DcategoryProducts and thanks, allensylves, for posting about this! quote: ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - sittall - 12-11-2013 I prefer to buy the prepaid (and larger) legal size envelopes at $5.75 each. No waiting in line at the post office, just pop it into a mailbox. I ordered these last week and it only took 4 days to arrive. http://uspsstore.stamps.com/Store/catalog/product.jsp?id=pmfrlse&navAction=jump&navCount=1 RE: Cheaper Priority Mail - terracore - 12-11-2013 quote: Yes.
