I have a 3 acre spot in Hawaiian Acres and need it to be surveyed and pinned. I also will need a basic fence once that is done. if anyone does a good or affordable job with either one of these please recommend them to me. I need some friends in my new neighborhood! thanks a bunch

welcome to the acres! spend the 30 bucks a year and join the association and you can meet your neighbors. alot of the front pins are easy to find. with alot of tromping through the woods with a machete and weedwacker and compass, we found all our pins. we had to borrow a metal detector for one, but we were within 3 feet when we found it. of course, we were on road one where there is a power pole at the corner of each lot, one corner or the other. we could get quite a way into the woods, and still site that pole which helped alot. i will be watching for the answer to your fencing question as we did the front half ourselves renting the jackhammer at puna rentals and now are too old to consider the back half... welcome neighbor...

Evan at "Island Boundaries" is good. He'll also cut along the lot lines for you. Then you can deal with the fencing a bit easier...

I agree about Evan, very good and thorough.

Evan was good for me also

Please, be sure about what services you will be paying to recieve before you make the deal final. Be very clear - make no assumptions.

I thought I was paying to have my property lines cut and pins marked - but apparently the person I hired didn't show up at all but instead had some of their employees do the work - they tresspassed on my neighbors property and cut a trail through her property to access the pins... I wasn't very pleased with this and neither was she.

Not trying to say you'll make the same mistakes I did, just hoping you are more on top of things than me : )

Aloha mai kakou

Aloha, I used "Skipper" 808-959-1714 or 808-756-2162 for my lot in Leilani last year, he did a great job. John Walker land clearing works with him frequently and gives him a thumbs up. Fast, friendly and efficient, support local hire! Happy clearing....Dot
