9th Circuit Ruling - oink - 02-13-2014
I'm not interested in starting a gun debate as I can't imagine what could be said that hasn't been previously said here. However this will effect Hawaii and I would imagine rather quickly:

Gist: California must allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed, striking down the core of the state's permit system for handguns requiring residents to show "good cause" and not merely the desire to protect themselves to obtain a concealed gun permit.

I can relate from experience, that in CC states like WY & CO I noticed that folks are very polite to each other in public places.

We've a couple more cases on the burner also... one down and the remainder will burry the hatchet in anti carry legislation. We're celebrating on 2aHawaii.com
II A - Practice leads to being well regulated (in an ideal state, properly functioning) and armed citizens provide security of a free state - thus the already existing natural right to keep and carry arms shall not be infringed.

In truth the hollywood version of history that labels the old west as the 'wild west' was much more sedate than the filmakers would have you believe. Knowing your neighbor is packing is what truly makes for good neighbors, forget about needing a good fence!

And to think the Hatfield and McCoy had a natural fence, the Tug river. Maybe the name Tug had something to do with it.
We should soon hear back on Christopher Baker vs. Louis Kealoha, ET AL (State of Hawaii). that's also in the 9th circuit.
This calls for a visit to the range, a copy of HRS 134-9 would make a good target.

I doubt this will be applied to Hawaii. People like the low rate of firearm deaths. There's no reason to change it.

In Washington State, citizens can carry cc in one pocket and 1 oz weed in the other. The sky didn't fall in either case. However, a 9 day old infant is missing with his METHHEAD mother, Amber Alert. Aloha!
