Just got the chance to shoot my new shotgun, a Browning A5 12 gauge. Shoots like a dream, better I think than my Browning Maxus. Just wondering if others out there has the A5 and what's your thoughts on it.

Anything wrong with conversation? Believe it or not, people do hunt, fish and do recreational shooting in PUNA as well as other parts of this island!!! Got a problem with that?

What size barrel did you get on the Browning? The only thing I don't like is it's very hard to clean. I have a very simple Mossberg 500 that is super simple to take apart and clean. "28 barrel drops slugs in a "3 group at like 90 yards. I also like my single shot Baikal, very inexpensive , "28 in barrel as well. I like your appreciation for the browning, he was an incredible designer.

Barrel length is 30 inches, chamber is 3.5,have to agree about the cleaning though.

Eagle, got to shoot one at the trap range awhile back felt nice pointed well and I enjoyed the internal recoil dampener. Dont think I would ever be able to shoot trap with it better than my 25 year old citori with the soft touch recoil dampener. My father has a very old A5 sweet 16 26 inch barrel i.c. choke and I wont hunt grouse with anything else. congrats on your new gun gotta love those people at browning they make great weapons. Hope the day never comes but if my lifes on the line it will be me and my ww 2 era Belgium browning hi power still the best 9 ever made, John Moses Browning my hero. Lots of upland birds to hunt on the B.I. I think that A5 is a great choice. I,m bringing my rem 1100 speciel feild I find it to be the most versitile upland shotgun I've found. Maybe we can hunt some pheasant. Do your dobies point?

Oh my Eagle you got the magnum, I was shooting trap loads through the standerd model. You will be putting that recoil dampener through its paces. 3.5 inch 6 shot should take pheasant to 50 yards easy

I love my grandpas browning, but am a winchester fan myself, what with the new SX3 and all.

Havent seen the new winchester Lava Lava but it got really good reveiws, Light quick and handles any load. Sounds like a winner.

Where is it safe to shoot in Hilo /Puna ? Is there a range somewhere ?
