AND fireworks are available at new year's, too! quote: ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> RE: What are you doing on the 4th? - Carey - 06-28-2014 You can buy, but most stuff you buy needs a permit, and the sales are for limited days (the fireworks permit money goes to partially pay for the 4th fireworks RE: What are you doing on the 4th? - terracore - 06-29-2014 I've never purchased the type that require a permit but as I understand it the permits are $25 and available from the vendors that sell the fireworks that require the permit. Costco sells big fireworks bundles, but I don't know if there is anything "good" in them. RE: What are you doing on the 4th? - ericlp - 06-29-2014 I haven't bought fireworks in a long time, but from my understanding, anything like rockets or goes up in the air is illegal... The permit is basically if you want to make noise for fire crackers and you can only buy so many. So there is not much "good" in any package unless you think showers and sparklers are good. ------------------------- To email me click on Link http://is.gd/QMfVEX RE: What are you doing on the 4th? - jrw - 06-29-2014 You cant buy any aerial fireworks you can fountains, sparklers, and something that pop without fireworks permit. If you want real firecrackers you have to have a permit.Carey are you sure fireworks are on the barage this year in Hilo I thought I read that it was back to Coconut Island because road work on bayfront? jrw RE: What are you doing on the 4th? - jrw - 06-29-2014 Going to community center Hawaiian acres they having potluck, music and fireworks 5pm to 10 pm.Everyone is invited even if you don't live in acres.
