Kihei passenger of British flight faces 20 years - Rob Tucker - 07-16-2014 Hawaii man accused of threatening to kill flight crew, blow up plane... "Mosele also threatened to open the aircraft's doors while it was airborne, spit water at crew members, claimed he would find members of the crew on Facebook so he could kill them and said he was "going to set off a bomb," according to the complaint. A team of flight attendants managed to restrain Mosele and handcuff him in his seat, but he continued to scream threats and obscenities." http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-hawaii-plane-threats-20140716-story.html Doesn't sound like this guy is making his connection to Maui. RE: Kihei passenger of British flight faces 20 years - deserteagle50ae - 07-16-2014 There's been quite a few of these incidents in the news the past couple months. RE: Kihei passenger of British flight faces 20 years - macuu222 - 07-16-2014 Amazing... Gets drunk at an airport...then gets on a plane and threatens to blow it up. And now he'll probably spend a good portion of his barely adult life in federal prison. RE: Kihei passenger of British flight faces 20 years - TomK - 07-16-2014 Wow, BA flight 283 - I've been on it a few times! I'm not sure he could have got drunk at an airport bar since none would have been open overnight (they close when the last flight of the night leaves and flights have to stop after midnight at Heathrow). Sounds as if he brought alcohol on board, possibly duty free (it mentions they found empty bottles in his seat area that weren't sold on the flight) or he drank his duty free he had on his connecting flight at the airport, but if he was visibly drunk at boarding he wouldn't have been allowed on the flight (boarding procedures are pretty strict for US flights from Heathrow). The captain was thinking about diverting to Iceland, so this happened quite early in the flight, and it left Heathrow relatively early in the morning, so some things are a bit odd here. |
