Was planning on maybe bugging out to Prince Kuhio for the time being. It's locked up tight. No entrance.

The damage comes from the storm surge, the big red blob. It is breaking up fast, the center is losing shape. It does look like it slams into south Puna and the storm surge goes directly over Kalapana. It is kind of a toss up whether this lands as a hurricane or just tropical storm.

Much of Kapoho Vacationland is flooded. Kapoho Kai is flooded 3rd st in, Waiopae is flooded between Kapoho Kai - west side and Kapoho Kai south side. Of course Waiopae is waist deep out in front and saw white water surf right off edge of pavement. Waiopai flooded Kapoho Kai to Kaheka.

Not as windy as it was and now high tide has passed. Stopped raining at the moment.
