Lol, do you think criminals know this? Do you really think they care? Can they even read? Your not dealing with rational people when they decide to come into your home hold you at knife point/gunpoint and proceed to raping the children. Increasing the penalty is only an after effect of the crime.

The private ownership of arms is the foundation of true freedom. In the absence thereof, all "rights" are really just privileges. Throughout history "weapons control" has been a primary tool of the tyrant, and weapons ownership a primary tool of the free man - like it or not!
A cop "drawing a chalk line around your corpse", is NOT protection (and I have been in LE since the mid-80s).

I will make no further posts on this subject in this thread, in deference to the expressed desires of the forum, but I would also assert that I didn't post opinion, just fact. History is History, not opinion.
There is another law, often cited as the Supreme Law of the Land, that says, in pertinent part, "...shall not be infringed.".
