I have a website, QuickEventz.com, designed to show community events in a mapped-base format.
Although it wasn't initially designed for emergency events, I invite anyone to post their events such as:
* meetings
* garage or rummage sales
* changes in location of businesses, etc
* road closure or openings
* fundraisers
* links to lava updates (already posted)
The County Civil Defense is looking into how this site might assist them getting out information.

To post an event, you must go to the website. It is FREE!
There is an app for iphones or ipads for viewing only. It is FREE!
Please check it out, using or viewing it makes so much sense and you will be able to easily "share"
