Technical Webpage for Tropical Storm Ana - harryd - 10-14-2014

I am a weather geek, so I put my favorite stuff all on 1 page. Auto updates every 10 minutes. I'll do my best to keep and eye on it and make sure it's always working.

Thanks Harry, appreciate your effort to make it easier to track the storm.

Looks like it's tracking a little further south than before which is good for the Puna area....not so good for South Point area

Thank you harry, great job putting it together. I don't like any storms that approach from this direction, usually they carry more moisture and a stronger surge from this southern direction. Wonder what can happen when lots of water meets lots of lava?. Let's hope we don't need to use our new roads prematurely or have parts washed away. Would rather see this storm brush hilo instead of kona to keep Puna on the southern side of Ana and her circulation of wind and surge.

right on! mahalos Harry.

the "Various model runs - shows the range of forecast paths" really kind of messes with one's head! looking at it feels like drawing straws at high stakes.

get a stomachache when i check the NOAA wind speed probabilities charts. the odds naturally increase by proximity as the storm progresses. http://www.prh.noaa.gov/cphc/tc_graphics/display_probwinds.php?stormid=CP022014&latest=y#prob34

Latest GFS run has Ana going more south. That is a step in the right direction. Keep going south please.
