2nd Annual Lilikoi Festival, Saturday, 25OCT, 10-2 - AlohaSteven - 10-22-2014
Fun for all at the delicious Lilikoi Festival this Saturday, 10am - 2pm, at Nani Mau Gardens!
Lilikoi treats and food, cooking demos and a cooking contest, the 2nd edition of the Lilikoi Cookbook available, lilikoi plants of various types for sale, live music by renowned local musicians, over 85 different silent auction items (ranging from helicopter rides and hotel vacation packages to art to lilikoi jams to much, much more), over 20 different vendors, and enjoy the beautiful botanical garden grounds.
Admission to the Lilikoi Festival is the same as the regular cost of admission to the botanical garden alone, $5 per adult and per child 12 and over; $2 per child 11 and under; free admission for babes in arms. Proceeds benefit Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary and free or reduced cost spay & neuter clinics as well as the Center for Spiritual Living of East Hawaii.
Heading toward Hilo from Puna, Nani Mau Gardens is located off Hwy 11 where the word ALOHA is spelled out in large colored tiles (just after the speed limit changes from 55 mph to 45mph), at 421 Makalika Street.
