Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - HiloPuna - 12-29-2014 I've heard that there are extensive discussions between the Ige administration and the Congresswoman. She is familiar to many Punawebbers after her recent close loss to Senator Schatz in the Democratic primary, with the deciding votes coming from Puna. Did anyone have face to face discussions with her on subjects where she may have some influence as our A.G. ? BTW: She has a formidable reputation for possessing a razor sharp mind and a long memory. I hope you all made good impressions ! RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - leilanidude - 12-30-2014 So the public speaks by not voting her into office - and Ige will ignore that fact and appoint her to a high position? There is definitely something wrong with these peoples' thinking! RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - Anxious Messiah - 12-30-2014 Not going to happen. _________________________________________ Don't speak unless you can improve on the silence. RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - lavalava - 01-04-2015 I thought Hanabusa went Hanabyebye... RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - pahoated - 01-04-2015 One job of governor is to appoint a state attorney general. She is more than qualified for the position, if this is so. So far, this is all speculation, there hasn't been anything on the rumor tabloids. Selections of new cabinets with new administrations is nothing new. How far out in the jungle do you have to be to not know something as rudimentary as that? Of course, the anxious net nazi's "ain't gonna let dat happinz". So far, Ige has been selecting on the basis of qualifications fit to functions. He is getting down to the top positions now. The star advertiser and some other sites report on the cabinet selections. The tribune and west hawaii today, don't. Correct. Time was the enemy here for Ms. Hanabusa and she seems to have lost. She and her supporters were banging the table for this appointment and were politely received. That consideration was construed as positively as it could have ever been by her camp, which is commonly a successful ploy in politics. A rumor becomes an assumption (common knowledge) that becomes a certainty that leads to an appointment (or an election). In this instance the Ige team seems to have remained unaffected by the pressure, in that the appointment hasn't been announced, and the longer it goes the less likely for her. I brought it to this Forum since the Congresswoman had spent a lot of time here during the final stage of her campaign. My tongue in cheek final comment had more to do with the likelihood that she would have a bad memory of her loss and that Puna was likely now in even more dire straits than is it's norm. RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - pahoated - 01-05-2015 So, it was only your delusional hallucination expounded from your imaginary soapbox. The real world selection should be announced in a few days. "Mahalo nui Pele, 'ae noho ia moku 'aina" - kakahiaka oli RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - HiloPuna - 01-05-2015 Uhh, no. It was a "rumour" based on conversations I had with parties familiar with the process. If you want specifics the most credible (of a few sources) was a former campaign manager of a former Governor who told me it was "almost certain". So I passed it on as something that may be of local interest. I wasn't on Brown Owsley, or mushrooms, or even weed. And you might note that I came back to this thread and, as the originator of the thread, brought it current. "Delusional hallucinations" ? Oh! Is that like when one states, multiple times, that there are videos (plural) out there on The Google that show a sitting state Senator specifically admitting to being "anti-science". You mean like that that kind of delusion? Now don't make me go back to that thread and cut'n'paste your ass into a corner. Let it go....we're probably more alike than dissimilar and its a New Year! Hau ole Makahiki Hou ! RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - lavalava - 01-07-2015 High-Larious. Pure PW! RE: Hanabusa rumoured to be new Attorney General - pahoated - 01-07-2015 The subject line of this thread is a lie. It is not a "rumour". It was anecdotal hearsay of two supposed ex officials. It was used as flamebait by thread derailing. PW supports these tactics and does not support any response, even though left unanswered, continue to rot into vengeful personal attack character defamation. |
