Hawaii connection tenuous, but I was taken with Neil Young naming his new player 'Pono' as it is obvious the name is both euphonious and implies that it is a quality music producer.

He has homes in Hawaii, one is on Kona side. A lot of musicians can't stand MP3 compression, so a few HD formats are emerging on dedicated music players, making them competitive to smart phones with lower audio quality.
