Lost dog please help! - rarni - 02-01-2015
My dog went missing on friday january 30th from 10th street off Paradise in HPP. She is a black and white border collie with recently clipped hair. There were 2 possible sightings of her friday night on Kaloli 8th and 3rd street. We have driven around HPP for hours, checked the Humane Society, filled out a lost dog form and Aloha Ilio Rescue posted her photo on their facebook page and almost 100 people have shared it yet no-one has seen her since. I have also posted on Craig's List lost & found. She is about 9-10 years old, is wearing a collar with a purple tag with her name and our phone number on it. She is much loved and missed and I am heartbroken, fearing all the terrible things that might have happened to her. She is very sweet and gentle and would be fairly easy to catch, if you see her please try to catch her. You can call us on 982-5498 or 938-1014 or call Aloha Ilio Rescue on 960-1704. Keep checking Craigslist, that's the #1 place you will see info on found pets. Go to the Humane Society, do not take the word of the person answering the phone. What we describe over the phone, people don't always conceptualize accurately.
Make posters, put them everywhere, specially by the mailboxes of all surrounding subdivisions. Good luck! Keep putting up the posters.

Did you put a poster with photo on the bulletin board at the Humane Society? Put different photos on Craigslist and remember you can renew your ad every 2 days bumping it to the top of the page if you have an account page.

Hi Punatic, yes, I went to the Humane Society today and they have a poster with photo of her. Also took one to the vets and put lots up around HPP mainly by all the mailboxes. Will be doing more tomorrow. I am hoping a kind person finds her and calls us or she somehow finds her way home, I am in emotional agony thinking of all the horrible things that might have happened to her and that I might never see her again [
] There seems to be lots dogs lost in the vastness of HPP, I wonder what percentage are found? Trying not to lose hope and I thank you Punatic and Kenney for your support, I really appreciate it, thank you [

About a month ago I found a dog in front of my house. I fed him & gave him a bowl of water for a couple of days over the weekend, then called the Humane Society on Monday morning. As luck would have it, his owner had just called to see if they had him. The Humane Society called the dog's owner to give her my phone number, and within 5 or 10 minutes dog and owner were back together again.
I walk my dog four times a day in lower HPP, so I'll keep an eye out for your border collie.

SHE'S BACK!!!!!!!!! Appeared on our deck half an hour ago! Her paws are cut up a bit but she looks great otherwise. I am incredibly relieved and ecstatically happy! Thank you so much for all your kind words and support Punatic, Kenney, TomK & PrimalEdge, I want to hug you all! Now I must go and take down all the posters and let the Humane Society know.
