Is your laminate flooring making you sick?
This investigation into Lumber Liquidators probably applies to Chinese laminate flooring purchased from many retailers. It's an eye opener.

I recently pulled up a laminate floor and the smell was so overwhelming I needed a respirator to enter the room to finish the job.
It is probably most dangerous for children who tend to play on the floor. Apparently there is a way to get it tested, but we just ripped it up and trashed it.

It's not the laminate. It is the glues used in the particle board substrate.
Look for laminates on cement bonded particle board (CBPB).

I remember years back probably 30 or so .I had kitchen cabinets with the same glue .The remedy was air the kitchen out the formaldehyde
would gas out. Was fine after a few days.
