Hello, anyone know of a camping area where you can park close to a tent.
Have SUV that tent connects to it ?

Where on island are you looking?

Most of the county, state & HVNP offer some sites that would do...
HVNP - Namakanipio: http://www.nps.gov/havo/planyourvisit/camp.htm
Hawaii state campgrounds: https://camping.ehawaii.gov/camping/all,e-search.html
Hawaii county campgrounds: https://hawaiicounty.ehawaii.gov/camping/all,e-search.html

Lots of places where you can just park near the shore and camp. just drive around and see where you see tents, etc, that have been up all night.

Ho'okena Beach Park has camping with parking very close to the camping, as does Spencer's Beach Park. Also the Park up on the Northwest side with the old sugar dock and good snorkeling and diving, I just can't recall the name. all have bathrooms, water and showers. I don't know if any of them have spaces where you could do the suv/tent combo though.

That's it, I really like that spot, it is a little off the beaten track.

I second Lapahoehoe BP, ....maybe even Kolekole BP as well.

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha
