Bark Park - Lodestone - 06-16-2015 I see a perfectly nice Bark Park at the Animal Shelter by the Keaau Transfer Station. But I never see anyone using it. It's no fun without other dogs to play with. Anyone know if there is a "gathering time" when there are actual dogs present? RE: Bark Park - birdmove - 06-17-2015 Not sure about that. It's a nice park. My daughter takes her two dogs there. She told me someone donated some tables and chairs and such. I stopped in there once with her. Very nice!! Jon in Keaau/HPP RE: Bark Park - Carey - 06-17-2015 We go fairly often... our dog Kiko has learned a lot of dog stuff there (she is deaf & had a very rough early life...really needed to learn good dog stuff) Sat mornings (8:30ish -10:30 ish and/or 2:30ish - 4pm are usually nicely attended (depends on weather & owners schedules, obviously) Weekdays are more variable.... The tables & wood benches were built & donated by the Boy Scouts & are really a cool addition to the park. Fire hydrants I think were donated by the fire dept, and many dog owners have donated toys, pools, water bowls, lawn chairs, pooper scoop stuff & such RE: Bark Park - Lodestone - 06-20-2015 Thanks Carey. We visited this morning at around 8:30 and there were 6 nice dogs there. A good time had by all. Saturday mornings it is, then. |
