Road Runner Speed Upgrade - Aaron S - 08-06-2015
I called up customer service and was able to get a rough schedule for the Time Warner Cable's MAXX speed upgrade on the Big Island (Hawaii). The Kona side will be upgraded first around August 18th and the Hilo side will be upgraded around August 25th. It will take several days to complete this upgrade on each side of the island.
This will be the new Road Runner speed tiers after this upgrade is completed.

Even the Road Runner himself didn't have high speed internet, and look at what he was able to accomplish with a single contact, the Acme Corporation. Acme had it all, especially a wide selection of anvils, dynamite, and rockets --- just about everything the average Punatic needs on a weekly basis.

Looks like they took bandwidth from the basic plan and did away with the turbo plan. Good thing I upgraded to Extreme not too long ago.

Thanks Lodestone! Wile E. was the customer. I'm getting too old to keep my cartoon characters in order.
Kaimana, you're right, I thought I had 15 Mbps, now it looks like it's only 10. Still enough for a clear picture with Netflix so that's good.

My suggestion for those that do not have cable internet is to go to their site, plug in your address and try to place the order. For that matter, why not sabotage their system and try to place orders for lots of addresses. Maybe they will get the hint that they need to expand?

Not exactly. This upgrade is total revamp of their offerings. The current Extreme tier is 30/5Mbps, which will morph into 200/20Mbps after the upgrade is completed.

I hope this is true. But on their site it says Extreme is going to be 50/5. Unless there is more upgrades happening afterwards?
