Excellent question. A friend of mine went to a weekday matinee on Oahu and reported that the theater was mostly empty.

Saw a 10:00am show Monday morning and pretty much all the seats were taken except for the front ones. Even got there 30 minutes early and almost all the good seats were taken. Since this is the only theatre on this side, I wouldn't be surprised if the theatre is mostly full for awhile. It is fantastic by the way and I can't wait to see it again.

I saw it a few days ago at an afternoon showing. The theater was nearly sold out, maybe 10 or 15 empty seats. I arrived 20 minutes before the movie started, and all the best seats were already taken. Still, in the second row, neck leaned back, it was a great show, with a mix of the old Star Wars and new, something for everyone, and spectacular on the big screen.
