Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction - luisac - 01-11-2016

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teaches simple yet powerful practices of body scan, meditation, and gentle mindful yoga to help you to discover a deeper sense of wellness, balance, self-reliance and freedom. Taught by Bernie Schreck, a longtime instructor of meditation and mindful living, this class is for anyone interested in being proactive about their health and wellbeing. Daily home practice assignments will be given. This workshop is normally offered for $500 but will be run through CCECS for a much lower price. Take advantage of the huge discount and the long-term benefits to your body, mind and spirit.

January 30, February 13, 20, March 5, 12, 2016, Saturdays, 1-5:30pm, UH Hilo, CH-6, 5 Classes, $150

Required materials and book: Participants will need their own yoga mat and light blanket. A Mindfulness-Stress based Stress Reduction Workbook by Bob Stahl, Ph.D. and Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D is required.

PLEASE NOTE: On March 5, there will be a one-day retreat that will be from 10am-5pm, UH Hilo Old Gym.
