I'm moving to 2nd off Kaloli, and Hawaiiantel does not have a portal. I was wondering what is the best internet service for this area and also the best cell provider.

Aloha Broadband coverage is in that area. Might be the only coverage also since cable (like Pizza delivery) doesn't extend to areas in lower HPP. It's not super fast but it is fast enough to stream movies like Netflicks and Hulu. Best cell service in my opinion is Verizon.

I'm on 1st Street & have Oceanic Time Warner Internet. Works great & it's fast. Currently use Sprint for cell service, but it's only good for text down here, not voice. After this phone I'm getting Verizon, but possibly through Page Plus which uses their network but is less expensive.

Wow...your on first and have cable? I knew oceanfront homes had it...but didn't realise they started on upper roads. I'm on 5th and Makuu. Maybe I missed something. Will check and see if it's available where I live.

No DSL here on 14th. We use Excede satellite which is okay, but not fast. Direct tv for television is good. AT&T phone is pretty bad.

As I understand it, about half of HPP has cable - everyone except 2nd to 15th. As housing density increases, it will come.

If you have the required housing density then contact the County. If not, you'll have to wait a bit longer, alas.

Oceanic likes to see 35 subscribers per mile. Considering their cable passes through the 2nd-15th range to reach 1st, it's just a matter of adding distribution...
