Bernie headquarters Grand Opening - Frankie Stapleton - 03-18-2016
Aloha all you Punatics for Bernie! A Bernie for President Campaign Headquarters will hold a Grand Opening from 5 to 7 P.M. Saturday, March 19 in Hilo. The new office is located on the corner of Ponahawai and Kino'ole St., directly across from Central Fire Station and Lincoln Park. A porn shop was the last tenant there; previously it was a Salvation Army shop....go figure!
Everyone is invited to check out your personal voter registration info and learn the specifics of voting for Bernie on Saturday, March 26, at the new Bernie office. All of lower Puna is in District 4 and will caucus at Pahoa School cafeteria. Upper Puna is in District 3 and will be caucusing at Kea'au Community Center (which has limited parking so be forewarned and check out the shopping center parking).
Voting in the Presidential Preference Primary will begin at 1 P.M. at all the caucus sites across the state. The caucus sites are NOT the same polling places where you vote in the state-run elections! This is a Democratic Party election which is why you need to sign a Hawaii Democratic Party membership form in order to vote.
Since we can't predict how many will show up without having already registered, we encourage people to arrive at your caucus sites by noon. I.D. is NOT required, despite what some people keep insisting, but an ID with your name clearly printed on it will help speed up the check-in process
And please come to the Bernie Grand Opening Saturday, March 19 at 5 P.M. in downtown Hilo!
