Getting white scale on some small foxtail palms - EightFingers - 03-23-2016 I sprayed them with neem oil and I think that'll do it, but what happens when they get real tall? Do you have to hire someone to spray? RE: Getting white scale on some small foxtail palms - Cagary - 03-24-2016 Large palms should be able to take care of themselves provided they are given the right kind of fertilizer, exposed to antiquate sunlight, rain and wind (air circulation). RE: Getting white scale on some small foxtail palms - EightFingers - 03-27-2016 Took a frond to Garden Exchange and they suggested it was a fungus. He said ants actually contribute to the problem as they use it for food and spread it around. So I put some Talstar out for the ants and sprayed some copper-something on the trees. Hoping this takes care of it. |
