Training for disaster: Hilo hospital hosts RIMPAC- - DoryGray - 07-15-2016

Holy Cow, Now I know why 2 blackhawks were flying very low (<200')? yesterday morning near Mauka Wainaku where I'm visiting.
"At 10:30 a.m., U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopters were requested to bring the patients to hospital facilities on Oahu."

They didn't actually fly the pretend patients to Oahu. They did practice evac procedures tho.

Yesterday while driving to Kona I saw a huge cargo plane (looked like a C130 Hercules, but my knowledge probably ranks below amateur) land at PTA.

Prior to this, I've never seen anything other than helicopters flying around there. Was a cool thing to see.
