The reason(s) you will pay more.
I know its a narrow topic, but please list your favorite local business(es) that you work with vs. going " off shore "
Please abstain from the typical " I can get it on Amazon / Costco for cheaper " as this has already been done ad nauseam ... and NOT including restaurants too.
Lets highlight,celebrate and support LOCAL folks working hard.

Del's and Miranda's both have good service.
Prices are definitely island style, that is high, but with limited and/or costly shipping available for feed, fence, etc. I am glad to have them available.

Mac Made Easy in Hilo. Not sure about why I would pay more because they aren't particularly expensive.
Their customer service can be described as fast, professional and courteous.

Favorite local business: the guys who sign for my Amazon packages -- costs a little more, but totally worth it.

Kalakoa: the post office "signs" for my amazon packages, even the ones from fedex and ups. It's an official USPS service.
I like Argus for lumber. Nice helpful guy, good product, cheap or free delivery.
I hear there is a local lumber mill somewhere between kea'au and hilo, anyone have info on that? I'd love to get some rough cut unrated stuff for cheap.

It's an official USPS service.
USPS isn't really a "business", nor is it "local" (even if they do hire local workers).
