Why are people allowed to do stupid things like this.. and why don't they cash in on things like this with fines for being stupid. From what I've seen in videos from the past week.. they could have milked the idiots for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

IMO, so what? You guys over reacting to pretty pictures and just perpetuating her "extreme" ness for the YT / FB masses.
Risk ??? Multiply the number folks allowed to roam un-escorted 24/7, in the park. Or just head over to ( oops cannot say. ) on a big wave day.
I say lets promote Big Island as the "adventure island" the same was New Zealand has successfully done it over the past couple decades.

How much do you want to work our SAR personnel? When are we going to start charging these thrill seekers for the cost of their rescue? Adventure is one thing, this is showboating for fame and fortune, underwritten by the taxpayers.
