Problem Solving Training - Free - Rob Tucker - 01-14-2008 TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT Creating Community-Police Problem Solving Teams February 4-5, 2008 Pahoa Community Center (Off Pahoa Village Road near the Fire Station) Sponsored in part by the Hawaii Police Department & Pahoa Weed and Seed Program Target Audience: Attendees should consist of public safety, other government organizations, and community members & organizations, who represent a good cross-section of your community. Members of the Pahoa business community are encouraged to attend. Course Description: This two-day course will provide public safety, other government organizations and community members & organizations with an opportunity to work together as a team to identify and work on specific problems in their communities. This course incorporates community policing principles, facilitating change, team building, creating partnership, problem solving strategies and action planning. Pre-Registration is required. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants should attend with a team of individuals from their community. Registration information is attached. Cost: There is no cost for this training or course material. Accommodations: Participants are responsible for their own transportation and lodging.
