We do occasionally find used ones at yard sales etc, but half the time they want more for them than Walmart wants for new ones. Only the pint jars are cheaper than Walmart. The half gallon jars are actually cheaper at Orchidland true value than they are on amazon. RE: canning jars? - Iju - 09-11-2016 I was at Mr. K's Recycle place in Hilo yesterday and notice that they have many quart size regular mouth jars for $.50 a piece. The band and lid still looks nice. Walmart and Ace hardware sell lids. Last time I bought at Walmart, it was less than $3 for a box of 12.
