searching for Ken Miller-Contractor Electrical - kimo wires - 09-03-2016

Looking for this Electrical contractor. Heard that he left the Island around 2010.
Ken Miller. Company is still listed and phone rings but no answer.

I thought someone might know where he is or how to reach him.
He has unfinished/un-finaled projects that need to be called in for final.

Thanks in advance for any info. KW

If you have his full name, or at least middle initial you could do a search on cslb.ca.gov to see if he relocated to mainland.

Mahalo from me for the link. Now I can check who is currently legit to use for the licensed contractor parts.

Thanks for information/Links.
It appears that Mr. Miller's License was terminated due to a Payout from the recovery fund which means that someone filed a claim against his company and won a judgement.
What a pain that must have been.
Bad news for anyone hoping to complete old projects and get legal.

do you have to use the same contractor to final a permit?
if you use a different one, does it cost more for some reason?

just curious, not because my garage or something was never finaled...

I'm in the process of figuring that out. I'll let you know what I find out.
If a new permit is issued then the project has to meet current code and that could cost you in upgrades to the panel. Hopefully the house was wired properly or you could be in for a big expense. AFCI's are required on all circuits except for Kitchen, Bath, and utility.
If multiwire circuits were installed the AFCI's won't work.

That idiot did my house. Worked with a very shady contractor who I found out has been sued several times here. Jon Camara Builders. Lost his license shortly after my house was built.

I saw Ken in Target a few months back. He's around. I saw him a couple months prior also. Stands out like a sore thumb to me.
