Email from Punaweb problems..... - Rumi in Hawaii - 01-19-2008 I just happened to check my Bulk Mail folder on yahoo.com and found 4 messages from Punatalk from different folks. I responded to everyone, but realized some emails may have been deleted since I don't check that folder very often and the system dumps mail after 30 days. I don't know why yahoo thinks everything from Punatalk is "junk" mail, but maybe folks need to know to check their bulk mail folders to prevent missing any messages. On the other end of the stick, I find I have a problem emailing folks directly from Punaweb....there seems to be some sort of need to sign up and give a password, or something (not the punaweb account name or password). Can someone give me directions? I'm not very technical....sorry. [:I] Katie Wherever you go, there you are. RE: Email from Punaweb problems..... - NanawaleJulie - 01-19-2008 I notice that MSN puts all emails that are NOT from themselves (nothing like internal spam) or from people that are already on my contacts list into the junk folder. If you use Yahoo, MSN, etc. they have decided to do this, I think, due to the LARGE amount of spam that is out there. I check that folder once a week just to make sure I don't miss anything. With regards to the other question-sorry, don't know how to do that myself. RE: Email from Punaweb problems..... - Nalu - 01-20-2008 Hi Katie, After I read your email I checked my Yahoo bulk mail, and I also had a message from Punaweb that I never received. I doublechecked my spam filter and it isn't sent to exclusive, and I do receive occasional spam so I'm not sure why this is either. I guess it's good practice to check it once in awhile. Aloha, Angela RE: Email from Punaweb problems..... - Kelena - 01-20-2008 My Punaweb mail goes elsewhere, but I do have a yahoo! account with a bulk mail folder. I get notices when I get "bulk" mail. Ninety-nine times out of 100, the bulk mail is unwanted spam (is there any other kind? --actually, yes, that special spicey spam is not that bad!). But sometimes a certain user will get thrown into bulk mail. For that reason, I alway check my bulk mail before deleting. There is a feature that allows you to reroute it into your regular inbox, or you can create a special folder for mail from punaweb. It will search the subject line for "punaweb" if you tell it to do so, and then throw it into a special punaweb folder. |
