Mahalo Pahoa Police! - Peter Easterling - 02-08-2017

After the Luquin's fire, we attended the Community Center meeting. Some good ideas came up, amongst which was have police officer walk the beat, especially where the creeps hang out. My wife and I walked with some Pahoa Elementary boys through town after learning that our kids were afraid of Pahoa. I asked them if they'd ever been hassled by the creeps and both simultaneously said "Yes!"

It was also suggested that we contact the Mayor Kim Today I received a call from a Pahoa police officer. I'd written our mayor concerning undesirable elements in our tiny town. The officer referred to my letter and took the time to answer any questions and fill me in on the latest. The officers now walk the town periodically and have already made several arrests The louts, crazies, drunks and creeps are scurrying away. Our kids, our visitors, and all of us have to thank the responsive police department. He fully acknowledged the engaged citizens of Puna. And for you Puna people, the last member of the car theft gang was arrested this morning at the Pahoa Police Station. Mahalo!

Thank you Peter.
Some good news after the village fire, reports of gunshots, and other events in these trying times. I appreciate the effort you made to see this through.

It's nice to have some good news for a change. Good on you, Peter, and a nice response by the mayor and the police to a need in the community.

Me ka ha`aha`a,
Mike

Thank you!

I too, have noticed a drastic reduction in the number of deadbeats hanging around town.

I wonder where they are going. Probably anywhere is better than where they were. The LCDC community is clearly less visible.

Cheers,
Kirt

The LCDC community
------

Priceless! [Big Grin] Post of the month contender!

I admit it took me a few minutes to figure that one out.

I now image this phrase sung by Cher, in the tune of her song,
Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves...

louts, crazies, drunks and creeps

The LCDC community
sung by Cher

Oh yeah, laugh it up. But now that they have an acronym you'll be singing a different tune when one day soon, you try and drive down Pahoa Village Road but a LCDC protest march or parade is blocking traffic.
