It's "nice" that our lawmakers can "show backbone", but our State really doesn't need to be picking fights that might result in the loss of our much-needed Federal subsidies, especially when there are plenty of local issues that need work.

How many residents of Hawaii does this even potentially, affect? First, you have to be one that already has a green card, then you have to travel outside the US and come back. It is a complete waste of state money.

I don't much care for people continuously trying to push their agenda where it isn't wanted. The heading for this topic is not about the link posted, it's about Pog's competition with Rob. Seems like an idiotic waste of taxpayers money. Muslim terrorism is a real live current threat and potential disaster and one important part of appropriate security measures is by securing the borders.Seems like basic common sense. I don't get the point of suing at all. Must be some info or reasoning withheld? Are they afraid the bans will eventually apply to Filipino's? What's the deal?

Let's compare some odds.
*How many shark attacks have there been in Hawaii recently?
*How many terrorist attacks have taken place in the US under the existing rules, regulations, and screenings?
More shark attacks in one state than terrorist strikes in the entire country.
The new executive order is not based on events, or intelligence. It is based on fear and the attempt by the administration to create a common enemy. An enemy that doesn't exist in the US. It's an expensive response to nothing. This new executive order will be as effective as an all out effort to prevent shark attacks in the Pahoa Community Aquatic Facility & Pool. Alligator and snake attacks too.
Hawaii's leaders recognize that reality, and I commend them for their efforts to encourage the highest good, rather than the lowest common denominator.
