Sealed catchment container - Palanakonu - 04-25-2017 I'll be building soon and am wanting a sealed catchment. I know Chemtainer has them, but am wondering if they are the only place on the island that does. Are there any other places that have 4000 gallon sealed containers for catchment? If so, where and roughly what price? RE: Sealed catchment container - kalakoa - 04-25-2017 wondering if they are the only place on the island Chemtainer is the only local manufacturer; I doubt importing anything else is practical. Rob: I recall playing on one of those in my younger days, though I don't think that would be practicable for my use. kalakoa: thanks, I have no problem with a 4k chemtainer... just looking to save a buck or two is all RE: Sealed catchment container - kalakoa - 04-25-2017 just looking to save a buck or two is all Generally, can't save much on "durable goods" in Hawaii. RE: Sealed catchment container - randomq - 04-26-2017 Amazon 12' x 2.5' steel frame pool < $150. Anyone using them? RE: Sealed catchment container - kalakoa - 04-26-2017 Swimming-pool catchment is cheap-n-easy, but somewhat less permanent, and should never be considered potable. Set on a base of sand and/or asphalt shingles and/or scavenged plywood. Without doing the math, 12 x 2.5 is something like 2500 gallons... |
