Life in the islands almost 100 years ago; harvesting sugar cane, pineapple, papaya, pounding poi, train ride over a high trestle bridge, and visiting the extremely active Kilauea crater:

I was wondering about that too. The train segment of the video was in the part which mostly showed the sights on Oahu, but would they have to cross deep valleys for transportation anywhere around the island? It's mostly flat along the coastal roads, isn't it? Might it be possible that was the Hamakua rail line?
Either way, the tunnels carved into the mountainside didn't leave much room to spare above the train or on either side of the passenger cars!

Most of the railway footage was shot on the Hamakua coast. One scene shows the old Hakalau mill and bridge. There were rail lines on Oahu. You can still see some of the tracks along the Waianae coast.
