Any leads on who may be hiring in the Pahoa/Hilo areas? My daughter is getting critical. She'll be 36 in August. She ran a small day care for like 4-3 years, but that got to be feast or famine. The famine part had her give that up. She has applied at lots of schools in the above areas as teacher's assistant etc, special needs etc. She's done interviews but nobody has hired her. Now, she's looking for about any kind of work.
She's really into her dogs, and I know she's applied at the Keaau Humane Society too. Petco would be a great place for her too. She is getting really bummed out, and it's hard on her self confidence. She's a single Mom, but gramma and gwampaw are here for her. She lives in Ainaloa, and her van runs good.
I'm just a retired old blue collar worker, but have never been without a job for more than about two weeks.
Thanks for any comments or leads on jobs she might apply for!!

Has she tried looking for work at veterinary clinics or kennels? I don't know if there are any positions, but it might be something she'd like to do.

I helped a friend of mine find a job thru links. He did end up as a tour driver but seems to like it. Good Luck!

sears is always looking, good for another year or so and try bar-king kennels, she would like that one and a nice group of folks there. she might have to take something less than ideal until something else opens up...

Target and Walmart both start at over $10 a hour.
Indeed.com is an aggregator of jobs posted on a myriad of other sites. Just go to the site and leave the position box empty, and put 96720 as the location. It will show jobs from within 50 miles or so of Hilo that way.
