Council approves funding for police tasers. - Guest - 10-10-2017

It Seems like the council has been approving most of the police requests for funds lately.
Could the police departments civil forfeiture slush fund program help with these types of funding requests?

Millions taken from the community over the years just sit in this civil forfeiture slush fund. Seems to me that these funds collected by the civil forfeiture program could be used for things like new guns, cars, tasers, overtime, raises, pensions ect so the communities council does not have to pay for these things. Maybe if our council said NO once in awhile these other funding avenues would be looked at. jmo

On October 4, the Hawaii County Council voted to authorizes a five-year lease for new Tasers to be used by the Police Department.

Not even "buying" them.

The police drive cars. Could or should these cars be electric? Fumes from gasoline-powered cars are poisoning the community. Maybe if our Mayor and Council said YES to electric car charging stations, these other donut shops would be looked at. JMO.

Electric cars do have a certain "stealth" to them.
They'll all need Tesslas, tho'.
