Aloha Broadband - DTisme - 10-26-2017

Anyone else having issues today? It was off and on all day today. VERY frustrating. Kept happening when I needed it the most, too, sometimes right in the middle of something important.

Yes...we're also having major problems with it. It's been going up and down every 5 minutes all day long for several days now. Can't stream a movie at all and very limited internet capability. Was going to call today...but their customer service (which is on the mainland) never has a clue whats going on. They just take the information. I just heard Spectrum wired 3rd and 4th ave in HPP (dead end side). I'm on 5th and keeping my fingers crossed!

The writing is certainly on the wall...

I'm on 3rd Makuu dead end and yes Spectrum wired. Neighbor talked to one of the workers who told them that we'd be notified when it was available. Not sure what's up with Aloha. They've probably just decided to concentrate on other locations now.

Aloha's still off and on today.

Now its on and off every 30 seconds....I think their transmitter is dying.

RE: Aloha Broadband - Punarain - 10-27-2017

I wonder if Fire Ant's infiltrated their transmitter...they shorted out my water pump switch the other day.

Something's up for sure. Neighbors also having issues, even those with higher speed plan.

RE: Aloha Broadband - macuu222 - 10-30-2017

I called Aloha Broadband's troubleshooting desk(I don't know why). Customer rep (in California) said they are aware of the problem in our area but gave no details and no timeline for repair.

RE: Aloha Broadband - DTisme - 10-30-2017

Thanks. I kept debating whether to call.

Seems like they are fully aware of the issues and simply letting their network fall apart. Maybe trying to squeeze some income out of the business before it fails. I have to imagine if they cared about continuing the service they would communicate better, including addressing posts like these on punaweb and other social media.
