Subcompact tractor owners out there? What's your preference on make; John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Yanmar or LS and why?

Preferring the Massey Ferguson GC1720TLB for its unique boom float mode, not available on other makes in the subcompact tractor lineup.

Aloha Kane, my experience with Kubota was very good, plentiful power, no breakdowns of any sort. Primarily towed a mowing deck, mowed 42 acre landfill cap multiple times a year. Bucket used to haul gravel for road repairs on Superfund site and occasionally towed a device to level out washboarding on road. If you have any grades at all get make sure it has a roll cage...and seat belt.

i would stay away from john deere unless you plan all service repairs yourself. also most of the tractor dealers here on this island will only service what they sell so that is a real concern for me, maybe not for you. that said i do like kubota and yanmar
