Getting to lava - eigoya - 02-03-2018

I'm again completely fed up with weed whacking and have decided to try to eliminate all green to expose the lava. In my head I assume caretaking lava is easier than caretaking jungle, but don't know how to efficiently remove. In past I've tried vinegar salt and weed killer, but neither was more than moderately effective . Burning seems quickest, but neighbors will complain and FDwill ticket. How do people maintain those beautiful lava "gardens"?

If it’s Pahoehoe and covered in grass you can just peel it back to bare rock with a bow rake and a sickle. Aa is another story.

dont use vinegar it doesnt work.. if it did EVERYONE WOULD USE IT, because of the price alone...

use the safest herbicide out there, and then the wacker, ...Roundup 3X/yr and a weedwacker once a month to keep the 'lava look'...
