Vehicle Inspections - Mr nice guy - 02-09-2018 Aloha, I see that the latest thread on this ever changing subject is almost 2 years old and I'm going to have to get a vehicle inspection in the next few days. The vehicle does have a crack on the passenger side and I'd rather not replace it if I can avoid it as it is in good shape otherwise. Does anybody have any suggestions of which company is efficient at getting the inspections done? mmmmmmmichael@geeeeeeemail.com (That's 7 m's). RE: Vehicle Inspections - Obie - 02-09-2018 Probably not going to happen ! They have to take pictures ! RE: Vehicle Inspections - Mr nice guy - 02-10-2018 Sure, they take pictures. This crack is small and isn't likely to be noticeable in a photo. Does anybody else have a recommended station? RE: Vehicle Inspections - leilanidude - 02-10-2018 Don't go to any of the dealerships or chain stores. RE: Vehicle Inspections - terracore - 02-10-2018 Go to Bob's in Orchidland off Ilma. RE: Vehicle Inspections - Rob Tucker - 02-10-2018 Bob's! Corner of Ilima and Hwy 130. RE: Vehicle Inspections - kalakoa - 02-10-2018 Note the direction of the sun, get inspected in either morning or afternoon, whichever puts the sun behind the shop so that your car is in the shade. RE: Vehicle Inspections - birdmove - 02-10-2018 Wally's body shop in HPP. Jon in Keaau/HPP RE: Vehicle Inspections - Rob Tucker - 02-10-2018 I have heard that on some cracks in glass you can spray some WD-40 or penetrating oil on it and it will disappear for awhile. I have heard that Super-Glue works too. RE: Vehicle Inspections - Kapoho Joe - 02-10-2018 I can hardly wait for when Hawaii starts testing cars for smog! |
