Jumped? - Lodestone - 02-23-2018 https://bigislandnow.com/2018/02/21/woman-dies-away-after-jumping-into-traffic-on-h130/ So, she just jumped into the path of the car? Didn't trip and fall, but jumped?[?] RE: Jumped? - leilanidude - 02-23-2018 "...and her boyfriend stated that they were both walking on the side of the road when the female launched herself into oncoming traffic...." ---------- hmmmm RE: Jumped? - alaskyn66 - 02-23-2018 My cynical mind.. why did he push her into traffic. No argument is worth a murder charge. Oh wait.. you only get probation in Hawaii.. Okay Google... Who are these people and why ain't they working? RE: Jumped? - kalakoa - 02-23-2018 walking on the side of the road Good thing the 130 redesign project includes sidewalks and pedestrian buffers. Perhaps our great-grandchildren will be able to enjoy these fantastic improvements. RE: Jumped? - Lodestone - 02-23-2018 Exactly... sure smells suspicious. They are doing an autopsy "to determine the exact cause of death" (um, struck by a car?), so maybe the police think so too. RE: Jumped? - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 02-23-2018 jumped into the path of the car? ... hmmmm ... why did he push her into traffic. There were only three people (as far as I can tell) at the scene of the accident. Probably only two who know what was said or what occurred in the final seconds before a young woman lost her life. Jumping to conclusions as we try and imagine what might have occurred, probably won't reveal the unknown elements of this situation any more than it did for the unfortunate couple involved. Recycle Puna. Humans, although probably not you personally, have already left 400,000 pounds of trash on the moon. - YouTube's Half As Interesting RE: Jumped? - ericlp - 02-23-2018 You mean, she leaped off the sidewalk, past the bicycle lane and over the break down lane and into traffic? That's quite a leap! RE: Jumped? - My 2 cents - 02-23-2018 Maybe I come from a different time/place, but my first thought was "how did she get past her boyfriend?" You see, I was taught, in the interest of chivalry, that the man always walks on the side closest to traffic to protect the woman from danger. Maybe it's just me and my specific upbringing. The driver should have a clarifying statement. RE: Jumped? - 2liveque - 02-23-2018 People have committed suicide in this manner before. The driver of the car is the key witness. He/she will be able to tell if the victim ran into the street on her own accord or was pushed. RE: Jumped? - Chunkster - 02-23-2018 Yes, people have committed suicide that way, but people have also been murdered that way. The driver may or may not have seen what went down before impact. I don't have an opinion one way or the other, and I don't envy the guys who have to sort all this out. |
