countertops - kalakoa - 03-09-2018 Remodeling my kitchen... Can anyone suggest a contractor or shop who actually does installation? So far I'm only finding people who will talk about countertops and promise to send quotes. Stainless, granite, quartz, or maybe even corian, not laminate or tile (I would have just done it myself already). RE: countertops - Chunkster - 03-09-2018 We recently had our kitchen counter tops done by Big Island Countertops (961-6633, http://www.bigislandcountertops.com/ ) as part of a total kitchen remodel package we contracted through HPM. They were excellent in every way. The guy who measured our cabinets to fit the granite top was very meticulous and pointed out an unanticipated fitting issue due to the structure of some custom cabinetry. After consulting HPM, we took his advice on a solution, and it turned out beautifully with no extra cost. I asked if they did work independently of HPM, and they said they do, but plan carefully and book well in advance. At one point last summer, they were backed up five weeks. RE: countertops - punaticbychoice - 03-10-2018 I have had good experiences with Big Island Countertops over the years 3X. Once directly with them, once through HPM and once through Home Depot. Most recently about a year ago. RE: countertops - Susan - 03-11-2018 Kitchens and Beyond next to Paradise Plants. We chose one of their quartz prefabs. They have a lists of installers. It was about 1,500.00 less than any quote from Home Depot. Filip did the fabricating and install. RE: countertops - VancouverIslander - 03-11-2018 We got our granite countertops from HPM and they hooked us up with installers. Me ka ha`aha`a, Mike |
