Need to ask Captain John if they even cover this area BC; http://www.kona123.com/kukio.html RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - MarkD - 03-31-2018 In the event of shark attack, the value of lifeguards is great for administering first aid. But little they can do to prevent one. RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - Guest - 03-31-2018 ZACKLEY! RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - MarkD - 04-01-2018 RWR, you probably would have got more attention on this if you put "Shark" in the headline. Fairly big story. It was on the national news tonight. Hope the guy survives. RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - Guest - 04-01-2018 i know that mark. RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - Guest - 04-01-2018 Testing testing 123. RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - MarkD - 04-02-2018 Rationale for posting? RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - keiregan - 04-02-2018 My wife and I got chased out last year in that same bay by a 14ft tiger shark. We were swimming right towards it and that same lifeguard station told us to get out of the water by making a fin with there hand on top of their head and pointing towards the shark. I don’t think I have ever swam that fast. They closed the bay after that for the day. RE: Kukio Beach Mishap - punafish - 04-03-2018 @keiregan: no worries, you were safe from that shark...assuming you can swim faster than your wife. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) |
