Fill Paintball Cannister - Gus - 04-09-2018 I have a paintball cylinder for my Sodastream but can't find a place to fill it. Any ideas besides Airgas and Matheson? RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - rainyjim - 04-09-2018 It might help to specify what you are trying to fill it with - I assume CO2 RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - Gus - 04-09-2018 Yes, C02. RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - ericlp - 04-09-2018 http://www.city-data.com/forum/big-island/1878198-co2-paint-ball-kailua-kona.html Take a look at that thread. RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - randomq - 04-10-2018 Out of curiousity, does Airgas not sell small quantities, or foodsafe CO2, or what? RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - Gus - 04-10-2018 Neither Airgas nor Matheson sell small quantities of CO2. Airgas told me that get lots of request from Sodastream users. RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - My 2 cents - 04-10-2018 quote: Some good info on that thread about getting an adapter so that you can use the 5lb. (or 20lb.) co2 canisters. I don't think anyone fills co2 tanks here. Airgas ships them to Honolulu for filling, that's why they have an exchange program where you drop off a tank and exchange it for a full one. If you are attached to keeping your own tank there will be a waiting period of several weeks. Keep in mind that the thread was from 2013. At that time Airgas was not exchanging 5lb. tanks, but they do now. The prices listed in the thread will be about 1/2 of what the prices are today. They do have food grade co2, but my understanding is that it isn't much different. I buy the food grade anyway. RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - Pilgrim - 04-10-2018 I have the same problem. Walmart used to carry the cannisters but no more. I've read that they're not refillable unless you buy an adapter but you might try this neat trick with dry ice. I haven't tried it yet but I'd love to hear if anyone has. I feel ripped off for buying that expensive sodastream plastic thing that I can't use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-a3pISQLQg RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - ericlp - 04-10-2018 With lots of requests and people with the sodastream, you'd think one could by a large tank and an adapter and make some kind of side cash at a farmers market. RE: Fill Paintball Cannister - Seeb - 04-10-2018 If you fill something not hydro tested, it would be a liability nightmare. How many of the things would you have to fill to cover the overhead |
