fish ponds and the volcano - lquade - 05-06-2018
i am in mountain view and last time we had an event lost all my koi. wondering if people are dousing their ponds with baking soda or any other ideas so i don't lose my big guys to this event. today in mountain view the air quality is very bad..[?]

Gosh not sure. My tilapia are still faring well here in HA.

Every time I go to Punalu'u bakery i always visit the little koi pond they have so I can see the fishes.Aloha

Tropical fish (salt water) are very sensitive to pH changes and there are testing kits and pH adjustment additives available at any good pet store. I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't work for a freshwater Koi pond.

Yep test the water b4 u ad. I have a bit of knowledge there. Its worse to make drastic changes in ph than it is to slowly bring it back to normal. Fishes have there prefered ph
Different fishes different ph sso read up b 4 dosing
