What housing shortage? - BillyB - 05-11-2018 Did anyone catch the news report about housing? They toured Hale Aloha O Puna elderly housing in Keaau. Eight out of thirteen units are uninhabitable, and it looks like they have been blighted for a long time. Our bipolar State government has housing 60% vacant due to neglect during a much bemoaned housing shortage of at least 18 years that I know of. The reps from the district seemed oblivious to the situation, but now see a need to clean up at least the bathrooms so refugees can take a shower. Why have these units been abandoned for so long? Where were these state reps two weeks ago before the cameras arrived?
