The unemployment rate is at an 18-year low, but our Senator Brian Schatz says the goal of the 2017 Tax Cuts And Jobs Act was to make more people unemployed. Because a couple of companies are planning to lay off staff over time, “The tax cuts are working exactly as intended,” Schatz tweeted Sunday evening.

It can take months or even years for changes in interest rates, tax laws, or rescue packages after the 2008 economic collapse to take effect.
