Fast too, days on market was 0. Could have been a private sale, would be nice to know the story behind it.
Didn’t they list it for sale a couple years ago for around $6 million?

Must have been that “Plume Special”. I think the buyer had a coupon for $2 million off.
With Kilauea collapsing now they can call their special “The Last Supper”.

In the years that I've lived here, I've only been there about 3 times... I did enjoy it and found the food to always be good with good service as I remember. Just never think to stop in when going past!

The previous 5,000 visitors a day was a lot of interest in a National Park. Even if Halemaumau goes dormant for viewing lava, HVNP is a pretty amazing place, meaning the nearby businesses will benefit.
Big question is how long current hazard situation/closure will last.

when this all passes, and it will, HVNP will be a bigger attraction than ever before. it was already the top attraction on island. sounds like somebody got a good deal.
