Sounds like its coming from lower area 35th or so.
Sometimes sounds like gunfire, not sure, could be homemade firework bombs?

It was so loud here I thought someone was shooting off a weapon on my property,. It sounds like Orchidland Drive between 38th and 40th. First night once at midnight, again at 1 AM. After that, almost every night for a week or more between 9 and 11.

Though I would confine the festivities to the 4th of July proper, I miss the opportunity to simply "drive to another state" and pick up some good mortars and roman candles...
