Doesn’t appear to be a cruise ship. Anyone know? Heading South.

It doesn’t look like it’s being towed, and has an interesting structure on the back, possibly for loading? I didn’t see FEMA printed in large capital letters on the side, so I’m going to take a chance and leave the aluminum foil in my kitchen drawer. For now.

Pics or it didn't happen? There is some interesting underwater studies being done on the ocean entries. Might have an unique ship design for launching the drone army invasion? (tin foil repels them I've heard)

I watched it for 5 minutes through binoculars, but couldn’t see a name or flag. It was quite large, like a cargo barge, square shaped in front and sides, an open area on the back with a wide beam support structure like a movable crane might use. It was painted white and seemed to move under its own power (no tug).
I have seen inter island container ships off HPP in the past, and that would be my best guess. Very nondescript and plain. If it’s a Chinese spy ship, they picked the wrong stretch of ocean, as I haven’t seen any other large ships recently other than the cruise ships.

Maybe one of the Pasha ships? They are made for hauling cars, motorcycles, etc between Hawaii and near San Diego. I see one of theirs at Reeds Bay docks sometimes.

It's not immediately clear where the Chinese vessel is located, but officials say it's in international waters (more than 12 nautical miles away), and not impacting the exercises.
At sea level the horizon is 3 miles away. I could see the ship, so it was well within our territorial waters. If it was a spy ship, one would think they’d lurk where there was something to spy on. (Unless HPP road funds have been, unbeknownst to us, diverted to a secret coastline submarine base)
